Who are we?
Sprout Women Empowerment Trust (SWET) is a women led organization established in 2018. SWET aim to address socio-economic challenges that women are facing in enhancing food and nutrition security for the peri-urban poor through empowering women and girls with effective skills and knowledge essential in urban agricultural farming. The aim is achieved through promotion of community based gardening as one of the “outside-the- box” solutions, promotion of mushroom production, organic gardens and fish farming among others in order to enhancing food and nutrition security for the peri-urban poor.
What will the money be used for?
- To Establish mobile gardens for the under privileged families in the peri urban areas to ensure the provision of nutritious food especially during this time of covid 19.
- To purchase resources for mushroom production.
- To provide resources to teach women and girls smart farming as means to provide meals and generate income.
- To purchase resources for our new center (working area) so as to fully service the community in need.
Who will manage the efforts?
The Founding Director and the Secretariat team under the supervision of the Trustees and Board of Directors.
How will the money reach IAm4Byo Fighting COVID19?
- Forex Donations: VISA & MasterCard payments shall be settled to our Nostro FCA.
- Local Donations: Local Donations shall be settled to our Local RTGS$ account.
How will we account
All donations made via topup.co.zw will receive an email confirming receipt of donation by Sprout Women Empowerment Trust.All donors may request a breakdown of how the donations were used.
